Top Restaurants in the U.S.

For those of you who like to eat out a lot, or visit great restaurants in other cities when you travel, you might be interested in signing up at opentable.com, which is a reservation service for select restaurants. You can make your reservations online and, when you've completed your reservation (ate at the restaurant at the time you reserved) you receive points that, when added up, get you dollars off down the line.

What I like about them is that they send emails periodically letting you know of great restaurants in cities around the world. For example, they sent an email about Los Angeles restaurants which have been awarded a star in the Michelin Guide for 2008. They are:

Melisse in Santa Monica
Spago in Beverly Hills
Joe's Restaurant in Venice
La Botte in Santa Monica
Ortolan in West Hollywood
Patina in Downtown L.A.
Providence in Hollywood
Saddle Peak Lodge in Calabasas
The Ritz-Carlton in Pasadena
Valentino in Santa Monica
Water Grill in Downtown L.A.

Also, they let me know Esquire's Best New Restaurants for 2007, which were:

Atlanta
Shaun's Trois

Boston
Rialto Rocca

Cleveland
Table 45

Fearing's

New York
Anthos
