Hope all of you have been having a great holiday season.  I realize I have been remiss lately with regard to the Festivals and Events category.  Here it is almost New Years Eve and I haven't spoken one word about the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena on New Year's Day. 

I know alot of you either watch the parade on television or camp out on Colorado Blvd and the surrounding streets to get a good spot to view the parade.  Last year I did drive on Colorado Blvd on New Year's Eve to take part in the celebration.  However, my car was pelted with Silly String and Shaving Cream, so won't make that mistake again.  Sure, it's all in fun, but washing your car off at the stroke of midnight instead of toasting the New Year with champagne isn't my idea of fun. 

But, I do wish all you out-of-towners well in your overnight campout (and, locals too).  Have a great time and enjoy the parade!
