Los Angeles Travel Show in February

For all of you who love travel shows - Los Angeles is having one on Saturday and Sunday, February 9 and 10, 2008, from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.  They're billing it as the West's largest travel show, so don't miss it.

Okay, I find it weird that it's the "Los Angeles" travel show and it's being held at the Long Beach Convention Center, but there you have it.

Events at the travel show include destination workshops on the Cook Islands, hiking through Bulgaria, the Silk Road, and the top 10 new destinations for 2008.

Some top travel writers and entertainers will also lead panel discussions - people like Rick Steves and Arthur & Pauline Frommer.  International entertainers are also on stage, so try to attend both days to get a good mix of entertainment and discussion.  You also will want to spend several hours going to the booths and picking up travel info from different exhibitors.  You never know what kind of goodies you might pick up (like $ off coupons).  Many different types of exhibitors will be there representing tour companies, cities, cruises, etc.

The ticket price is $8 per day if bought ahead of time, $10 at the gate.  You can get tickets online at:
