Miami Beach Wine Festival in October

Miami, Florida is hosting one of the largest wine fairs in America on October 25 - 27, 2008.  The 2008 Miami International Wine Fair is expected to attract over 7,000 industry professionals and wine lovers, with tastings of nearly 1,200 wines from 15 countries.

For $65, members of the general public can buy a ticket for either Saturday, Oct. 25 or Sunday, Oct. 26, from 4PM to 7PM and taste wines from such countries as:  Spain, France, Italy, United States, Australia, India, Romania, Brazil, Portugal and Uruguay.  For $105, Fair goers can get tickets to the "Collectors' Club," where more than 100 of the finest (and most expensive) wines will be featured and poured.

Fair goers can also purchase tickets to different seminars presented during the Fair.  Seminars for this year's Fair include:

  • The Wines of Monterey
  • Italian Rockstars
  • Oregon & Washington
  • wines of Southern Portugal
  • The Wines of Brazil

Some of the seminars are free, while many cost between $20 and $35.  There are a couple pricier seminars:  "Spain vs. the Rest of the World for $150" and "The Ultimate Rhone Valley & Rhone Rangers Tasting for $95"
