Billed as the "Quietside" Oktoberfest 2009, this Oktoberfest celebration is the 14th Annual Mount Desert Island Fall Celebration, held at the Smugglers Den Campground on Rout 102, Southwest Harbor. Celebrants have a plethora of beverages from which to choose, with 23 Maine brewmasters represented. Admission is $25 for a souvenir glass and 10 free beer tickets; $5 for non-drinkers.  Children under 10 admitted free. Music by the "Mainely Country Band" and "Mark Kanter and the Bluesboy Review." 

Tucson, Arizona
October 1-4

That's this weekend, folks!  The 8th annual Tucson Oktoberfest is a 4-day affair, featuring 100 arts and crafts booths, authentic German food, kids' games and dancing. Adults are just $3; kids under 12 admitted free. Held at Hi Corbett Field, 3400 E. Camino Campestre. Saturday from 10 AM to 11PM and Sunday, Noon to 6PM.  This year's event to benefit the Optimist Clubs of Tucson.

Los Angeles, California

Can you believe it?  This is the first ever LA Oktoberfest, held at the LA Mart, 1933 S. Broadway. They promise the "hottest buxom beer maidens" serving Bavarian beers, along with Bavarian bands and sing-alongs of old-time drinking songs. From 1PM to 6PM.

Lake George, New York

This is the 2nd year for the Lake George Oktoberfest, with over 75 different beer offerings, as well as authentic German food and a live, 3-piece German band.  From 1PM to 5PM at the Adirondack Pub & Brewery, 33 Canada Street, Lake George.  Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. 

St. Louis, Missouri
October 9 - 11

This Oktoberfest is billed as "The Fastest Growing Oktoberfest in America," and features 14 bands with over 30 performances.  Held at the Soulard Market at 8th and Lafayette Street. The Millennium Hotel is having a special that weekend for $109 per night, which includes a shuttle to and from the festival.
